Digital Bloom Socials owner dashboard with the week's scheduled shoots, client retainer hours and open invoices

A two-sided business platform I designed and built for a local social media and videography agency, now running its day-to-day operations. The owner portal handles scheduling, content planning, time tracking, invoicing, and bookkeeping; clients log in to review each month's content before it's released.

  • Google Calendar sync with clear ownership: shoots originate in the portal and push to Google, while personal events sync back as read-only busy blocks, so nothing is entered twice

  1. Rocket Launch Scheduling dashboard with launch-condition scores, live weather, a launch-site map and upcoming launches

    A launch-planning dashboard. It pulls live weather for each launch site, scores how good the conditions are, and puts it all on a map next to a filterable launch schedule and some stats.

  2. A course assistant for Western Kentucky University. Professors upload their course material, and students can ask it questions about the class instead of waiting on an email reply. I led the team that built it.

    A file-sharing web app where everything is AES-encrypted. Files go over a direct TCP connection that a Flask server sets up between users, and there's built-in messaging so you can tell someone what you just sent them.

  4. A small learning management system. Teachers post lessons, videos, assignments and quizzes, then grade them with a gradebook and charts. Students take quizzes and watch their grades update. There's a discussion board too.

(About)

I like owning the whole stack, from how the data is stored to how the product feels to use.

I'm an application developer at the Vanderbilt Clinical Informatics Center, where I build web apps and machine-learning tools for research teams. Some are quick prototypes, some run in production.

Before that I interned at Knobull, working on a meta search engine with Java, AWS and OpenSearch, and finished a CS degree at Western Kentucky University, where I led a few of the projects above.

When I'm not at work there's usually a side project going on my GitHub.
